At the same time, this policy provides information on the cookies used and how you can manage them as a user.

2. What cookies are
Cookies” are small text files that are stored with identification tags on your computer or other device via your browser when you visit websites.

There are two types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are created temporarily in the subfolder of your browser while you visit a website. After logging out, the session cookie is deleted. On the other hand, persistent cookie files remain in the subfolder of your browser and are activated when you visit the site that created that particular cookie again. A persistent cookie remains in the browser subfolder for the duration defined in the cookie file.

3. Purpose of cookies
Cookies are used to help determine the usefulness, interest and number of uses of websites, enabling faster and more efficient browsing by eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information. They also help us to collect information about your browsing habits, in order to facilitate and personalize your browsing according to your preferences.

What kind of cookies are there?
There are two groups of cookies that can be used:

  • Permanent cookies –these are cookies that are stored in the browser on access devices (PC, mobile and tablet) and are used whenever you visit our website again. They are generally used to direct browsing to the user’s interests, making it possible to provide a more personalized service.
  • Session cookies –these are temporary cookies that remain in the browser’s cookie file until you leave the website. The information obtained by these cookies is used to analyze web traffic patterns, allowing problems to be identified and providing a better browsing experience.

We have organized our cookies into the following categories so that it is easier to understand the purposes for which we use them:

Strictly necessary cookies – These allow you to browse the website and access secure areas of the website. Without these cookies, the website will not function efficiently and the required service cannot be provided;

Analytical cookies – These are used anonymously to create and analyze statistics in order to improve the functioning of the website. This category includes cookies belonging to Google Analytics, used by this website to collect information about the use of the website. These cookies collect information in an aggregated and anonymized form, to be used exclusively for the purpose of improving the functionality of the website. You can find out more about Google Analytics’ privacy policy and how you can opt out of these cookies at the following link: Google Analytics: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=pt-PT;

Functionality cookies – These store the user’s preferences regarding the use of the site, so that it is not necessary to reconfigure the website each time you visit it. This category includes cookies belonging to Google Tag Manager, used by this website to manage and track information for marketing, cookies belonging to Facebook Pixel to measure and analyze the effectiveness of advertising on the website and cookies belonging to Clarity set when the user first visits a page with the Clarity script. It is used to persist the random user ID unique to that website in the browser. This guarantees that the behavior on the next visits to the same website will be attributed to the same user ID;

Third-party cookies – These measure the success and effectiveness of advertising and can also be used to personalize a pop-up with user data;

Advertising cookies – They target advertising according to the interests of each user, in order to direct advertising campaigns according to users’ tastes, and they also limit the number of times you see the ad, helping to measure the effectiveness of advertising and the success of the website’s organization.
